Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 6, 2026

I’m Don, the owner and operator of WynneWebDesign (wynnewebdesign.com). I take your privacy seriously, and I want to be upfront about what information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it. No fine print tricks — just plain language.

This policy complies with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What Information I Collect

I only collect information that’s necessary to provide my services and communicate with you. This may include:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in your message
  • Email communication: Any information you share when you email me directly
  • Newsletter signup: Your email address (only if you choose to subscribe)
  • Purchase information: If you buy a digital product, I collect your name, email, and payment details necessary to process your order
  • Website analytics: Anonymous data about how visitors use my site (pages visited, time on site, general location)

Why I Collect It

I use your information for specific, legitimate purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide quotes
  • To deliver the services or products you’ve requested
  • To process payments for digital products or services
  • To send you updates or information you’ve opted into
  • To improve my website and understand what content is helpful

I will never sell your information. I will never spam you. If you sign up for my newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

Cookies & Analytics

My website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. Here’s what they’re used for:

  • Essential cookies: These keep the website functioning properly (WordPress session cookies, security cookies from Wordfence)
  • Analytics cookies: I may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand how people find and use my site. This data is anonymous — I can’t identify you personally from it
  • Form cookies: WPForms may store a temporary cookie when you submit the contact form

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some website features may not work properly without them.

Third-Party Services

I use a small number of trusted third-party services to run my business. Here’s who they are and why:

  • Hostinger — Web hosting provider. Your data is stored on their servers in accordance with their privacy policy
  • WP Mail SMTP — Handles email delivery when the contact form is submitted
  • Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) — Processes digital product purchases on my site
  • PayPal — Payment processor for digital products and services. PayPal has its own privacy policy governing how they handle payment data
  • Google Analytics — Anonymous website traffic analysis (if enabled)
  • Wordfence — Security plugin that may log IP addresses to protect against threats

I only share the minimum information necessary with these services, and I choose providers I trust.

How I Protect Your Data

  • My website uses SSL encryption (the padlock in your browser) — all data transmitted between you and my site is encrypted
  • My hosting account is password-protected with strong, unique credentials
  • Only I have access to your personal information — there is no team, no outsourced staff
  • Wordfence security plugin actively monitors for threats and unauthorized access
  • I keep WordPress, plugins, and themes updated to patch security vulnerabilities

No system is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian business, I respect your privacy rights under PIPEDA. You have the right to:

  • Access — Request to see what personal information I have about you
  • Correction — Ask me to correct any inaccurate information
  • Deletion — Ask me to delete your personal information
  • Withdraw consent — Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • File a complaint — If you’re not satisfied with how I’ve handled your data, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

I’ll respond to any privacy request within 30 days. There’s no fee for making a request.

Data Retention

  • Contact form messages: Kept for up to 2 years, then deleted
  • Email correspondence: Kept for the duration of our business relationship, plus 1 year
  • Purchase records: Kept for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law
  • Newsletter subscribers: Kept until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data: Anonymized and retained according to Google Analytics default settings

If you ask me to delete your data, I’ll do so promptly unless I’m legally required to keep it.

Children’s Privacy

My website and services are not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
